Madison Square Garden's Midtown location, directly above Penn Station, makes it a natural stage for marquee sporting events and convenient to reach by train and subway. Prices currently start around $120, with major-game seats potentially reaching $500 or more; availability and prices can change.

Venue and Seating Information

Madison Square Garden has a circular, multi-level bowl with Floor, 100 Level, 200 Level, and 300 Level seating. For basketball, the center 100 Level sideline sections are a strong choice for proximity and a direct view of the court. The 200 Level offers an elevated perspective that makes it easier to follow developing plays across the floor.

The 300 Level provides a full-arena overview at a greater distance and may suit budget-conscious fans. Very high corner seats are less ideal for viewers who want close-up detail, though they still offer a broad view of the game. Seating configurations and section availability may vary by event.

Parking Information

On-site parking is very limited around the Garden, and garages can fill quickly on busy event nights. Consider comparing nearby garages with options farther away, or using public transit to avoid Midtown traffic.

• Nearby commercial garages: Garages around Penn Station and 8th Avenue are generally a 1–5 minute walk away. Event parking is approximately $30–$80, with prices subject to demand.
• Herald Square or Chelsea garages: These options are roughly a 10–15 minute walk from the venue and may cost around $20–$50, depending on demand.
• Street parking: Metered spaces are limited and restrictions are strictly enforced, making street parking an unreliable event-day plan.

Arriving without a garage reservation may mean higher prices or no available spaces. Rideshare pickup and drop-off areas include 7th Avenue and 33rd Street and West 31st Street near Penn Station; expect congestion after the game.
